check it

Who knows why we do what we do. I was told by a good friend something her MIL said after seeing her 18 mo old gag herself for fun was that 'she must have seen it somewhere'... this was funny to us, as our daughters are only a month apart and mine had done the same thing. As if either one of us were bulimic we'd still be lugging around extra baby weight at that time. HA. Who knows where kids pick up things. My 19 mo old is definitely starting to notice things and be very aware of her environment. It makes you think about what you are doing and passing on. Do I want my kids to pick at their finger nails? Use food as a response to stress, pleasure, boredom, a leaf dropping? What do I do that doesn't even occur to me that I will start to notice in her? It's a good time for me to do an auto check and try to eliminate behaviors I am oblivious to that if seen in someone else would annoy me..as there are many things that annoy me.

A few examples of things that annoy me:
1. Whining - I have had a HUGE reminder of how annoying this is in my house
2. People who do not inch forward at a traffic light so you can sneak by and turn right on red
3. My total lack of any kind of sense of direction
4. Over explaining
5. Whining - because it is loud and painful to listen to and serves no purpose and does not actually communicate any clear need and it's part of the problem not the solution and .. (oops, see #4 and #1)
6. when stores lack any logical form of how they organize items and isles (Kmart and FoodLion)

the list goes on and on...

Anyway, We plan on winning the HGTV dream home giveaway. And I'm almost positive I'll get a job this week. I'll keep it until we win the HGTV dream home giveaway.
