Double Barrel

Good thing you are a nurse!
I know this is intended as a positive statement, but really just adds extra pressure. It doesn't mean a nurse knows what to do in every situation. It means I read a paragraph on something over 10 years ago. The paragraph did not say how you will feel when your 20 month old vomits more liquid then it seems possible for her body to hold and becomes petrified at what just involuntarily came out of her. There was no description in my thick, maroon covered Brunner Med / Surg Nursing text about how fast the smell of curdled milk and stomach acid can affect your olfactory. Nothing on the rate of absorption of said liquid through your pants until the warm, moist deposit is practically touching your flesh. Nope, profession does not matter...it's all a learning curve.

Then you get smart..or smarter..
